Hello Crowdholders,

Today we are proud to announce our first micronation joining the platform - Liberland!

The Free Republic of Liberland is located near the western bank of the Danube, between Croatia and Serbia and is about 3 times the size of Monaco. Proclaimed on 13 April 2015 by Czech right-Libertarian politician and activist Vit Jedlicka, it already counts over 500,000 registered users and 100,000 citizenship applications.

The motto of Liberland is “To live and let live”, enforcing the rules of free trade and free market with absolute minimal State interference. On top of that, Liberland is pioneering a tokenized statehood model, guaranteed by immutable smart-contracts and by the Merit, an all-in-one crypto-asset that represents voting power, currency, and collateral for a decentralized justice system.

Liberland’s future campaigns on Crowdholding will revolve around the Chamber of Commerce, a gateway to the numerous business opportunities of the Free Republic of Liberland, so make sure to carefully read about it and its mission..

👉 What is your first impression of Liberland?

👉 Would you be interested in joining the micronation?

Did you know anyone can become a citizen of Liberland? You can apply for citizenship here.

I like the idea of being able to trade freely but I'm looking at this with caution as I'm not sure if this would ideal in the long scheme of things.

My first impression upon reviewing the website is a positive one. It appears both idyllic in land and idealistic in society, not bad words from my perspective! I can't help juxtaposing that with my (admittedly uninformed) impression of the region and that it was formed as a result of border disputes. I am concerned about how this location would avoid getting caught in the midst of additional political unrest in the region. I am currently not interested in joining Liberland. First, I tried on an idealistic libertarian view in one point in my life. I however now do not view the world in that way. I have met and seen too many people that lack integrity and that are simply dishonest to believe that a fully libertarian society is functional. I additionally am aware of systematic inequities in society that I do not believe a libertarian society will help solve. Please don't take that as tacit trust in current systems. I just believe that solutions for the issues mentioned above are going to be more pluralistic and include the perspectives of a variety of angles to work.

I was reading Liberland's steemit posts, and honestly, I am impressed with the ideology of Liberland. Governments of many nations have been claiming to be selected on merit, but is it really true? Now, one of the main pillar of Liberland is "Meritocracy", and it seems, keep it mind it is having its fourth anniversary, so far so good. I hope, this would be a continuous and basic policy of Liberland. I would definitely love to join this micronation if the weather is in my favor, its philosophy is definitely in my favor.

Looks super cool. I have no clue about the legalities of starting a micronation but if it works out I think it could be revolutionary. I would like to be a citizen but wouldn't be able to move there so I don't know how that works out. A block chain based nation would be dope as hell.

Really Informative!! First impression is something, I can't comprehend the idea of self proclaimed micro-nation when there had been so many wars just for land/countries. Secondly, how you will accommodate that many people in such small area. I don't know if I am interested in joining it or not, time will tell. Click

It's a good initiative, but like many other people who commented before me I'm having similar questions. I would say that my first impression of Liberland is that it is a very optimistic venture that seems driven more by ideology than practicalities. Also, the cynic in me wonders whether, given the lack of an actual population and basic infrastructure, whether the ultimate aim is to use it as an offshore tax haven. I imagine you will have a very difficult time establishing a sovereign nation without a military or huge financial coffers. I am personally not interested in joining this micro nation, until I've learnt enough about the intentions and background of those leading it.

As is often the case with smaller nations, Liberland is in favor of decentralized economies and favors innovative ideas such as cryptocurrencies. The micro-nation has had no issues with adopting and using cryptos. These new technologies will have a massive effect on how sovereign states are managed in the future.

How will this small nation survive without any resources at present, what isthe hope of sustainance? if there is resources to develop here I will likely to apply for micro nation.

This is the first time I heard about you and I will definitely have many questions about you ... The country established in the dispute let me see that you are a very strong country that dares to dare to make me admire this. And I appreciate how you develop creatively in areas such as information technology, electronic money, data security and encryption, block chain. The more special thing I see is that electronic money has been accepted for registration in your translation room. Surely I will have to learn a lot about you guys, you have left me a very good impression. Thank you very much

I thought the approach was very new but I do not understand very well what would make me part of the project. I will follow it with interest since it does not concede the concept of micronation

Although I have no interest in knowing, but this liberland has my interest in knowing deep everything that exists in this liberland and now I already know that liberland existed between the borders of two countries, micronation? I have no idea for this, perhaps it is all this sometimes also called model countries and new country projects, are small and self-proclaimed entities that claim to be independent sovereign states, but are not recognized as such by any recognized sovereign state, or by any supranational organization

micronation? I already liked it lol I would accept to request my citizenship yes, because I have pretensions to leave Brazil, but it is necessary to know more about it! And if speaking in micronation is a great achievement this highlight in the middle of two continents. And because I know that this nation is based on cryptography and that it gets involved with decentralization, I think it will become a FAIR nation!

Its quite extraordinary to have a nation run on crypto. If the idea is to have less government running society , then the question is where do funds come from to fund things that are serving everyone. One idea is that people can be given choice to send crypto to projects that are helping people, like nonprofits and commons.

I believe and support free trade in several manners. I agree with the principles of Liberpand.

I like this very much, this is the first time that i am hearing about such even though it has been in existence for some time now, i will say that this will definitely go a long way in improving the way people see space and time and come to appreciate the world as a global village. i will say that i will definitely be very interested in joining this country and also taking active part in the activities that they organised there. i will say that i was very moved to see how we are becoming more humans by engaging in projects as such hoping to see more of these in the future.

WOW! My first impression with this is really just WOW! A state/republic with its own cryptocurrency? Is this even real? In theory, it really invokes excitement. But when I come to think of it. I'm not quite sure if it would stand the test of time, or if it's feasible at all. I am curious about this though and I'm tempted to join the micronation, however I have to read into the terms and conditions about this more and keep myself informed. As of now, I'm not very convinced by your website, so maybe work on it more. Make it look better and more informative and then we'll talk!

It is a very interesting concept, but I do not know if it is practicable in reality. I see it as the ideal of communism, excellent on paper, but at the moment of making real impossible.

My first impression of Liberland was so smart that I was confused. It was so fresh and shocking. It is a national model I personally have hoped for long ago. Of course I want to join micronation and I want to know what conditions to join there.

Would you be interested in joining the micronation? I really don't know, it would be a life changing move, so I would have to think a long time for it, but I would definitely consider it.

I was very impressed about the Liberland republic of its area of only 7 km2 called the Gornja Siga. Claimed on April 13, 2015 by politicians and activists entitled Czech Republic Vit Jedlicka Claimed to be a long time ago so I just hope the Liberland liberal republic will develop in the future. In terms of trade in goods, because of the advantage of a beautiful mountain and river, there is a good investment in tourism.

1 How will legal and political issues be resolved with this state and who will mediate? I like the economic model, I wonder how it will manifest itself in the future. 2 I would be interested in joining to be a citizenship

My first impression is a big "why?" Im not iterested in joining the Liberland because I dont think that it gone be the right way to create a better world

My First Impression Of Liberland was 'wow, a new country, a new citizenship'. I was so excited which is to say the least about my feelings. I think this is a good thing, creating something close to our ideal idea of how a nation should be, irrespective of its size and all. I only hope that we can all make it work. I would be interested in joining the micronation. It is something refreshing, different from the norm, which is a characteristic of my personality. So, I am ready to give it a shot.

I've been following Liberland since it's inception in 2015 and it looks like there is a lot going on. The founders have engaged with international community in an official and unofficial meetings. It will take time but eventually Liberland could be accepted as an autonomous territory and even a country. The 4th anniversary is a good opportunity to inform the world that the project is going strong and to get Serbia and Croatia talking about territorial claim. I already have e-residency in Liberland but for now it has a feel of tax haven tailored for the rich, when that changes I will consider getting the citizenship.

My first impression, do you really want to know? it was that it's a long shot. I told Vit to engage the Croatian side with the impression that the place would develop into a tax haven due to the legal grey area surrounding the mud bank. Yes. It's a mud bank along the river. The real estate could be washed away in the next big flood, and then it would be uninhabitable. That's probably the reason the area hasn't been demarcated in the first place. Then there are the seasteaders. That's right. It's a great idea. Kudos for that. As a citizen of Liberland, I'd probably be empathetic towards the Croats, supportive of the Serbs and I'd engage the wine farmers. Then I'd invite the engineers. Thumbs up!

I think it's really interesting but I was skeptical at first that there is unclaimed land on the Danube River. I've never heard of Liberland before but I like their motto. I would be interested in joining, however the fee of USD100 is for me a little steep, however, if there was an opportunity to earn citizenship by promoting or other activities, I would be more interested.

Not much land in the world is not claimed by some state or the other, congratulations on finding 7 square kilometers of unclaimed land on the Danube river. Sounds really interesting, will it use a cryptocurrency as its main means of exchange?

Certainly the theoretical values of the state seem to be with Merit. There are indeed many countries whith strong economies which operate a similar system of governance (e.g. Switzerland). I am assuming the statment of limited power to the government implies that the citizens will vote on a regular basis as per the Swiss economy also. I very much like the Idea of greater control by it's citizens. What i particularly like is the idea that Merit, a cryptocurrency, will be the system of money. Truly there is an opportunity to build a revolutionary state in this sense and, i believe, many countries will eventually go this way as traditional currency outlasts its usefulness. It will be very interesting to watch the value of this currency is it grows and an economy built on blockchain technology could set a blueprint for many others to follow. Interesting that this currency will also be used for a system of voting as well. I can see from a brief look on the internet there is currently not much development on this micronation and so i will follow closely to see how this develops. As for whether i would like to become a citizen myself I think i would definitely want to wait and see how things develop, with no real healthcare system etc in place at the moment i think it may be a little foolhardy to rush in with a family in tow. I would possibly consider it in the future but that would be dependent on how it develops and whether it sticks to its ideals.

I'd like to say I heard it the first time. But I have so many questions in my head ?? A country established based on the border dispute. But have you been recognized by Croatia and Serbia? first acceptance is the angle of view of neighboring countries. How is citizenship given when people fill out a forum? Who do you know of me? Have you been recognized by any international organization? Why is your constitution in draft? What is your economy? .. There are many questions. I appreciated your steps in innovative areas such as information technology, crypto currencies, data security and cryptography, block chain. I was particularly excited to see the phrase crypto is accepted em in the registration process of your trading room. I have to read a lot about you. You've got some slogans coming to me at first glance. Congratulations.

(Lieberland) This is a very nice name, and I congratulate the President of the Republic of Lieberland, "Vit Gedlicka" for this excellent idea, but I wish the Neighboring countries and the big countries to support him for his project, and as a small country I expect it will be one of the most beautiful new countries, i saw alot of people who excited to live there , yes i'm interested in joining the micronation :) it's amazing idea.

Liberland - a self-proclaimed new territory because of Serbia and Croatia land dispute. As it was already estabilished in 2015 and still has not been recognized by no country - I think it will have short history. According to logic this land will be given to one of two couuntries. As i could not find any historical existance of such country it has hard to claim a new one. It should be done legally as voting in Croatia or Croatia. I am not interested in joining. In general a small piece of land can effectively introduce crypto as their payment system , but it should be legal. And while it is not I am not supporting it.

It would be a pleasure to join a micronation but for that it would be necessary to free oneself from the known problems of the rest of the world: global warming with the pollution, to find a participative democracy and that everything is not to be related to the finance !!! ! Finance kills the world, the social and the freedom !! Do not remake these mistakes !! But I am very curious about your project and why not become a citizen of Liberland

Dual citizenship is a disrable thing. There is alot of potential for good as well as evil with it. From an inward view there is enormous speculation potential. Starting with just raw land and creating a nation from nothing, very interesting times.

An Interesting idea...How much legitimacy does it have though? One can't just proclaim it and suddenly you have a new country, especially since other countries probably already own the land. Is there support from the surrounding nations, or is this just and idealistic venture, with no physical entity. Just how little governmental oversight will there be? At least some is good, so public goods aren't ruined and taken advantage of-a.k.a."The Tragedy of the Commons". Currently, I wouldn't like to be a citizen. I'm happy being a citizen of my current country, and wouldn't want to mess it up.
